As part of us is the former No. 7 Design Institute under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry, we specialize in the engineering for the sulfuric acid, phosphate and catalyst sector. Enabled by dozens of patented and proprietary technologies, we offer integrated solutions for sulfuric acid (from various feeds, including elemental sulfur, pyrite, H2S through wet process or dry process, spent acid, sulfurous slurry, phosphogypsum, and sulfurous flue gas), wet-process phosphoric acid, phosphate fertilizer, yellow phosphorus, thermal-process phosphoric acid, fluorides, and phosphates. Historically, we designed over 40% of China's sulfur-burning sulfuric acid plants, the first 300 KTPA, 400 KTPA and 800 KTPA sulfur-burning sulfuric acid plants, the first 300 KTPA, 400 KTPA pyrite-based sulfuric acid plants, and the first 80 KTPA, 400 KPTA wet sulfuric acid plants. Globally, our sulfuric acid and phosphate footprint covers Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.

Flagship Projects: 

1.2 MMTPA slow- and controlled-release fertilizers project, Inner Mongolia Dati Yuntian Chemical Co., Ltd.

We delivered as EPC contractor the 300 KTPA phosphoric acid plant for Phase I of the project. The plant is located in an alpine cold region which comes with robust freezing protection design. The feed, which is iron ore tailing after floatation, contains residual phosphorous, and presents tremendous challenge for engineering and design.

800 KTPA sulfur-burning sulfuric acid plant, Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Group

The plant covers sulfur melting, sulfur burning, conversion, drying and absorption, product packaging, thermal system, start-up boiler, demineralized water station, power generation, and associated auxiliary systems. The 98% industrial grade sulfuric acid product satisfies the requirements for Grade I product according to GB/T534-2014 "Sulphuric acid for industrial use".

This plant we designed satisfy all design specifications. The overall sulfur recovery rate is ~99%. The SO2 emission is less than 100mg/m3. Barring a small amount of weak acid generated in the purification system, no other pollutants are generated. Barring consumption of a small amount of electricity and cooling water, no other fuels or feeds are consumed.
